Kimberly Dickstein Hughes achieved two milestones this fall when she was named New Jersey’s Teacher of the Year and she got married. The celebrations took place at a location dear to Dickstein Hughes RC’08, GSE’09: Haddonfield (New Jersey) Memorial High School, where a banner spanning the front of the school congratulated the Camden County native on her award. Just days before, guests, including students, gathered in the high school’s courtyard to witness Dickstein Hughes, who teaches 10th-grade English, exchanging vows with Phil Hughes.  “If you want to help people, become  a teacher,” she told members of the  New Jersey Board of Education during a ceremony to honor her in Trenton. “And if you want to give back to your community, become a teacher in  your community.”
