Rutgers University–Camden, celebrating the school year’s conclusion, held several commencements at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden. On May 18, Wallena Gould, founder of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program, spoke to graduates of the School of Nursing–Camden. On May 19, Lisa Ciaranca Kaplan, the principal of the Andrew Jackson School in Philadelphia and 2015 winner of the Escalante-Gradillas Prize for Best in Education, was the keynote speaker for the Camden College of Arts and Sciences, University College–Camden, and the Graduate School–Camden. Faustino Fernandez-Vina CLAW’81, an associate justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, addressed graduates of Rutgers Law School at Camden; and Suzanne Ackerman-Berman, of Pick n Pay of South Africa, delivered remarks to students at the School of Business–Camden.
