Founded nearly 50 years ago, the Minority Student Program at Rutgers Law School has long been recognized nationally for promoting diversity in the legal profession. Its impressive alumni include U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas RC’91, NLAW’94. Future law students will get help from a new public interest internship created to mark the program’s golden anniversary. Jeffrey Hsi NLAW ’97, a program alumnus and an intellectual property lawyer, made a gift of $250,000 to launch a $1.5 million fundraising campaign for 12 annual internships.
