Food items

Students, especially those who depend on financial aid to pay for college, don’t always have enough money to pay for healthful food. One study found that 71 percent of Pell Grant recipients ate less frequently because of a lack of money. The prevalence of “food insecurity” led Rutgers University–Camden to recently open the Raptor Pantry, which many grateful students are using. The pantry joins the Rutgers Student Food Pantry, at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, and pantryRUN, at Rutgers University–Newark, to help address a need  at Rutgers—and nationwide.
