Chelsie Riche SAS’17, pictured, an Africana studies and history major at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, was awarded the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, one of 36 U.S. students this year to receive the coveted honor to study at the University of Cambridge. Rising senior Viktor Krapivin, a physics and math major at Rutgers–New Brunswick, was one of 240 students nationally to get a Goldwater Scholarship, the top undergraduate award in the natural sciences, engineering, and math fields. And rising senior Mussab Ali, a neurobiology and economics major, was anointed a Truman Scholar, the first student at Rutgers University–Newark to receive the honor, which recognizes leadership potential, public service dedication, and academic and communication skills.
