Think of it as open-mic night for Arcturus, Mars, and other celestial superstars. The Robert A. Schommer Astronomical Observatory, at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, throws open its doors three times a month so that you can look through its 20-inch optical telescope. The program, which is free and begins at 8:30 p.m. (through March) and one hour after sunset (April–September), takes place at the Serin Physics Laboratories on the Busch Campus in Piscataway.
