The trail-blazing careers of two leaders at Rutgers–Camden who are indispensable role models.
Phoebe A. Haddon, seated, is the chancellor of Rutgers University–Camden and the 2019 recipient of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of American Law Schools. Kimberly Mutcherson is the co-dean of Rutgers Law School in Camden—the first woman, African American, and member of the LGBTQA+ community to hold the position. The journeys for these two legal scholars have been challenging, but they have overcome resistance to their gender and race to emerge as mentors, activists, and role models. And their work won’t be done until more people like them are in positions of power and influence. View a video of the two women speaking about the challenges and rewards in achieving their career successes.
