Three Rutgers University–New Brunswick undergraduates were among the 496 students nationwide selected as 2019–2020 Goldwater Scholars, the top undergraduate award in the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics. Left to right, rising senior Rikab Gambhir is a physics and mechanical engineering double major; rising senior Mariya Galochkina is a geology and physics double major; and rising junior Brandon Gomes is a physics and mathematics double major.

Aasha Shaik, a rising senior at Rutgers–New Brunswick, was awarded a Truman Scholarship, one of 62 students to receive the honor, which supports juniors who embody the future of public service.

Sridhar Sriram SAS’19, EJB’19, who double majored in computer science and public policy at Rutgers–New Brunswick, received a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, awarded to those who show outstanding intellectual ability, leadership potential, and a dedication to helping others.
