The Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Campus Center at Rutgers University–Newark, one of 10 established at U.S. colleges, is an initiative developed in 2016 by the Association of American Colleges and Universities and funded by Newman’s Own Foundation and  the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to address racism and effect lasting change. Building on  the solid community-university work already in play in Newark, the campus center at Rutgers–Newark  is empowering campus and community stakeholders to confront the conscious and unconscious biases and misperceptions that exacerbate racial tension in America.
