The historic buildings dotting the mid-Atlantic region of the United States are one vivid reminder of the nation’s heritage—all the more reason to save them. Now, Rutgers University–Camden, which hosts the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities, invites you to learn—in the outdoor classrooms of Camden, Philadelphia, and southern New Jersey—about the methods required to save these old structures. A new noncredit certificate in historic preservation program, led by Tamara Gaskell, the public historian in residence at the center, allows participants to learn from the experts involved in preservation through continuing education classes and workshops.
