In football, there is nothing quite like a dramatic kickoff return. Fortunately for Rutgers fans, return specialist Janarion Grant is back in form to provide the thrills. After being on a pace to break numerous records last fall and accumulating early Big Ten accolades, he was injured and shut down for the season. Now, the red-shirt senior—the nation’s active career leader in combined punt- and kick-return yardage, with 3,086, and fourth all-time in Rutgers football with 4,251 all-purpose yards and first with 2,606 kickoff-return yards—is resuming where he left off. As the season approached, he made the watch list as a candidate for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the college player of the year.
