Todd Frazier, who starred for the Scarlet Knights baseball team from 2005 to 2007 before beginning his professional career with the Cincinnati Reds, signed as a free agent to play third base for the New York Mets. Noted for his dugout exuberance during the New York Yankees’ deep playoff run last fall, Frazier will now bring his veteran leadership and long-ball power to Citi Field for at least the next two years. Perhaps best of all for Frazier, home field for the Mets isn’t far from his longtime home of Toms River, New Jersey, where he lives with his wife, Jacquelyn Verdon Frazier CC’09, a former Scarlet Knights gymnast, and where he starred 20 years ago on the team that won the 1998 Little League World Series.
