Put a challenge in front of Ashley Higginson NLAW’15 and watch her go. An undergraduate degree from Princeton? Done. A law degree from Rutgers Law School? Check. A chance to make the U.S. Olympic team for the 2016 Rio Games? Yup. For five years, it’s been one hurdle after another. The most demanding, perhaps, have been in her chosen event—the steeplechase—requiring hours of training in order to handle 28 hurdles, seven water jumps, and 3,000 meters of running. Now,  it’s one more hurdle to go: a successful audition at the Olympic trials to make the team.
