Up to the Challenge

The annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge—which pits a Big Ten team against an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team—will feature the Scarlet Knights women’s basketball team playing North Carolina State at the Rutgers Athletic Center on November 30. The Big Ten and the ACC have long been among the most competitive conferences in women’s college basketball: four Big Ten schools competed in last year’s NCAA tournament and four more in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT); the ACC, meanwhile, sent seven teams to play in NCAA tournament and four to compete in the WNIT.
