To some she is the First Lady of Song, to others the Queen of Jazz, but for two days in March she was the Center of Attention. The Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University–Newark, the preeminent repository of all things jazz, presented the life of Ella Fitzgerald, who would have turned 100 on April 25. cELLAbration had it all: panel discussions, musicians who played with Ella, film and video clips, and performances.
