Todd Nichols takes over as the director of the athletic bands at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
As Rutgers football fans take in the halftime show at High Point Solutions Stadium this fall, they may detect a new exuberance to the marching and music of the Marching Scarlet Knights. “I … really believe the marching band can be one of the best, if not the best, in the country,” says Todd Nichols, the new director of the athletic bands and associate director of Rutgers University–New Brunswick bands. He takes over for the retiring Timothy Smith MGSA’98, who led the athletic bands for 17 years.
